I need some glass replaced--one broken and a few others that have condensation between them. I'll probably need 5 replaced.

Any recommendations?

Gracias.

Shelly...I have always used Samuels with no problem...I don't really know how they compare pricewise...I have also heard that East End glass (they aren't just on the east side) does pretty good but haven't used them personally..

Hey! That's who my neighbor used and she said they were reasonably priced.

Thanks!

I find Samuels to be kinda pricey. Ask for a price quote before agreeing to have any work done. Prices for glass repair can vary dramatically from company to company.

In case anyone needs to have glass replaced...

I went with Johnny & Sonny (that's their name!). $297 to have 5 windows fixed. One is broken and 4 have condensation. I was really expecting it to be a lot more than that because I had a small broken window (above kitchen sink small) years ago and that was $80.

I wonder how much they'd change to fix/replace my sliding glass door (condensation). Can you post the phone number?

Kori, measure the glass before you call them and they'll give you an estimate over the phone. They quoted me the $297 over the phone yesterday and today someone came out and took actual measurements. They called me back with the acutal estimate and it was right on the money. They have to order the glass and said it would take about 3 days for it to come in.

Thanks Shelly. Speaking of "sliding glass door" ... does anyone else besides me say "Arcadia door" instead of "sliding glass door"? Whenever I say it, no one knows what the hell I'm talking about. But in Arizona, people would laugh their ass off if they heard you say "sliding glass door".

You're welcome!

I've always called it a sliding glass door. Why is it called an Arcadia door? I've never heard of that before.

I googled Arcadia door and a lot of stuff comes referring it to a sliding glass door, it just doesn't say why!

I think that it used to be the only company that made sliding glass doors.

When I was growing up if someone said "sliding glass door", I would have thought they were retarded. I never called it anything but Arcadia door until I moved to L.A.
