I really feel bad for the city of Detroit. They are Cleveland's rivals in just about everything except NFL- however the cities are very similar. I feel bad for the people there not because of their sports teams, but because most have no idea if they will have a job at the end of the day. That said, this is pretty bad. They sent this out to all Cavs fans with a Playoff Package.

As the Cavaliers head to Detroit to continue their Round One competition against the Pistons, you can cheer them on at the Palace in person at a very special price!

Because of your continued support and commitment as a Cavs season ticket holder, we are offering you two options for discounted tickets at the Palace at Auburn Hills for this weekend’s games:

* Game 3: Cavs at Detroit - Fri., April 24th at 7p.m.
* Game 4: Cavs at Detroit - Sun., April 26th at 3:30p.m.

Lower Level Corners: $80 tickets are discounted to $45
Upper Level Corners: $40 tickets are discounted to $20

Please contact Raquel Gumma at (248)377-0105 or by email at [email protected] to place your order today!

Tickets are based on availability and only while supplies last. There is a strict 4 ticket limit per game, per account. All orders must be received by Noon on Thursday, April 23rd. Tickets will be left in will-call only.

Yeah, that's pretty sad to see. Used to always be a full house at the Palace. Obviously the Billups trade, and resulting fall from grace has many fans realizing there little to no chance of progressing past Cleveland, but as Thunder Dan mentioned, it's more about the state of the local economy. They announced last week that Michigan ranks the highest at a 12.6% unemployment rate. People are losing jobs left and right. And people who are still employed have been struggling along for the last year, hoping they won't be next. The disposable income used for sports and entertainment just isn't there for many people.

Hopefully things improve soon.
