The refs are making all of Dirk's shots go in.

Don't be a douchebag ;). You know the Mavs are fucking hot as shit.

Pop has been throwing gasoline on the fire out there by playing Bonner and Finley.

We all want to beat the hated Mavs, and we all want to see our team do well, but given that we're without Manu and had an anti-SPAM end to the year, Pop can't settle on a rotation, and Tim's knees are shot, this is hardly a surprise.

Without Manu and with Duncan's injury, this team has no margin of error..if Duncan is shooting poorly, and even if Gooden shoots poorly, we have a very good chance of losing these games..

Why are people blaming this game on Pop? Every single player is playing like garbage, it doesn't matter who he puts in.

I have rarely been so ashamed of my team.

Pop's partially to blame since he has a say in the front office. The FO should have developed a reliable bench(with players that can score) instead of relying on the same big three year after year. You don't win championships with crap like Bonner, Udoka, and Vaughn waiting on the sidelines. The worst thing the Spurs did was standing pat after the '07 championship.

Pop is a grown man. Not OUR SON. I don't understand these excuses for him.
We have enough talent to beat the Mavs, Pop just hasn't used them well enough to compensate for Manu's loss.

this isn't a case of being shorthanded this is about HEART and Balls.

If Spurs keep this bullshit up playing without heart and having NO BALLS. I don't ever want to hear Manu being blamed for his game 7 foul in 2006.

Without him, we would have just straight been blown out in game 7 losing by 40 points.

Although I can't see the game thanks to commission Stern's decision to give it to NBA Tv (greedy mother f.....), this series has more of the feel of the Hornets series from last year except rather than momentum changing to the side of the home team, it seems to be changing from game to game, majorly. Had to see the Mavs' effort coming after being embarrassed by merely one Spur Monday night, just didn't expect us to slump. Still, I think the next game becomes more of an attitude adjustment for us and I look for Tim to possibly go off and put Dallas front line on the bench.

Watching tonight's game what kind of team has Pop put together????

If you want more offense why would you have players like Oberto, Vaughn, Hill, Udoka, Bonner on it?

I mean these guys can't score or play defense. What is the point of actually having them on the team? Hill is the only one that can actually lock down a little bit on D, but Pop screwed him up.

The Spurs obviously should have kept Scola because at least he can score somewhat consistently. Bonner can't score when the heat is on or play defense. Very strange stuff the Spurs have done the last two years.

The match ups were fine early on. The players just played like crap. Yes Tim duncan, you, and yes Tony Parker you. Pop cannot be blamed for that. Hill is obvious..

Udoka had potential, and most Spurs fans were excited about him..he fucked up..

Bonner for his 3-point shooting..

Oberto was a leftover from the championship days, where he was a useful player..

Vaughn is useless, so I agree with that..

Looks like my thread that I started got merged into the game thread.

Well I think it was obvious the Spurs needed to retool after the 1007 Championship. I was very excited about getting Scola for 2008 and retooling for another run. That's where the Spurs fucked up by keeping all the old guys on the team.

The starters didn't do shit so Pop had to try something else. You don't comeback from a 30 point deficit in the 4th so playing Tim (who blew tonight) wouldn't be doing much good.
