Hi guys,

I'm in Austin and I am considering buying NBA TV on Time Warner just for tonight's game, but I am worried that the Austin area will have the game blacked out.

Does anyone know if the Austin area will get the game on NBA TV tonight? I hace run into this problem before with the NBA's stupid black out rules.

i called TW there and they said they're not carrying it. had to drive down to SA to catch it.

I think it honestly depends on what part of Austin you live in. It's a 60 mile radius I believe that blacks it out...

well I called Time Warner just now and after finally getting the guy in India who doesn't understand what NBA blackout rules are to transfer me to someone local they said it is on. I hardly trust them though. Any Austin folks know what's up?

damn that sucks man, try to find a live stream of the game online, or go to a BAR and watch it.

when i called TW the other day they said there was no chance they'd pick it up. so it's a risk.

The game will be on NBA TV in Austin.

TWC always says it'll be blacked out, but it never is.

it certainly has been blacked out in Austin when the Spurs played the Rockets in the regular season. I just saw an Austin American Statesman article talking about tonight's game being on NBA TV so I am going to go for it. Suck my knob David Stern you money grubbing ho!

Except when it is.

There have been zero nbatv games blacked out in Austin this year.

Don't go by the program guide which says "Blackout". The game is shown.

What game? I literally watched every Spurs game this season on Austin Time Warner Cable (I bought League Pass). If there had been a game I couldn't see on NBA TV I would have known it.

The only time you'll see an NBA TV actual blackout is when the game is also carried on Fox Sports Net. Then you can watch it there.

I'm in north Austin, and NBATV works for me here so far. Keeping my fingers crossed though. I just had to pay 6.99 through time warner.

to clarify, i meant that the games was NOT going to get picked up by a local network. it'll only be on NBATV. so no channel 12, 7, etc

I'm in Austin and it's blacked out on NBA TV. It's also only on audio on LP. I can usually get it on 1525 KENS though.
