All of these goofy gaffes by the president prove that he's really Sacha Baron Cohen and we're all in his next movie.

This is a tired practice anyway. In this day and age of digital media all of your public goofs are going to be broadcast to the world. It doesn't make him stupid. It makes him human.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. But, there are already as many gaffes collected on Obama, in the short time he's been in the public eye, as compared to the almost fifteen years of President Bush's terms as Texas Governor and President.
This is a tired practice anyway. In this day and age of digital media all of your public goofs are going to be broadcast to the world. It doesn't make him stupid. It makes him human.
I agree.
What makes him stupid is that...
We now have a Treasury Secretary with tax problems (http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/01/13/treasury.taxes/);
We now have a Secretary of State who wants to overcharge (http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/03/06/clinton-reset-button-gift-to-russian-fm-gets-lost-in-translation/) our relations with Russia;
We now have a head of the CIA whose intelligence experience consists of how to sneak the bimbos (http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5h_1dhU3lFy6AEXwP8tfstCn1yH5w) in and out of Clinton's White House;
We now have a Director of National Intelligence who has a history of human rights violations (http://www.etan.org/news/2009/01blair2.htm);
We no have a judge-shopping (http://minx.cc/?post=285249) Attorney General;
We now have a Secretary of Education who's planning on 'fixing' No Child Left Behind because his former school district was unable to meet its standards (http://nclb.cps.k12.il.us/pdf/how_do_schools_compare.pdf);
We now have a Secretary of Labor who was on the board of directors of a pro-labor lobbying group (http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/016/101mswgc.asp);
We now have a Homeland Security Secretary, in charge of securing our nation's borders who thinks Canada and veterans are our nation's greatest threats (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/04/23/napolitano-draws-resignation-calls-gaffes-veterans-canada/) and that illegal immigration isn't illegal; and,
We now have an Energy Secretary that considers himself silly (http://blog.heritage.org/2009/04/23/secretary-chu-admits-his-views-are-silly/).
Pile on top of this his budding attempts to nationalization of healthcare, energy, finance, and industry as well as his unblinking ability to build a national debt and budget deficit that eclipses anything ever imagined in the history of this nation and, well...
He's either stupid or diabolical. Take your pick.
And, this notion that he's repairing relationships abroad? Sarkozy has already called him a light weight, His Homeland Security Secretary is blaming Canada for 9-11, he's apologizing to every dictator in the world and establishing relationships with them -- all the while their continuing to bad mouth him and our country. He and his Secretary of State are flat out lying about where the bulk of weapons in Mexico are coming from and it goes on and one and on.
Oh yeah, the Brits thinks he's an idiot because he gave their Prime Minister a DVD Collection picked up at Costco and their Queen an IPod. And, he gave them back a bust of Winston Churchill that was a gift, not a loan; and when the Prime Minister explained that -- Obama said "take it back just the same."
Yeah, he's really repairing our relationships.
And, as for you who voted for him?
Well, he's reneged on just about every campaign promise made -- from no taxes for 95% of the tax-paying public to extending his time-frame on an Iraq pullout...etc...
He's fucked up more shit in 100 days than almost every president we've ever had -- combined.

He's fucked up more shit in 100 days than almost every president we've ever had -- combined.FOX News Poll: Obama's First 100 Days
Friday, April 24, 2009
By Dana Blanton
As Barack Obama closes in on his first 100 days as president, majorities of Americans approve of the job he is doing, are satisfied with what he has accomplished so far and think he is keeping his promises, according to a FOX News poll released Friday.
Obama's job approval rating comes in at 62 percent, down just three points from the 65 percent approval he received after his first week in office. Twenty-nine percent of Americans disapprove.
In addition, most people say Obama is doing a better job than they expected (26 percent) or meeting expectations (56 percent). Few say he is doing worse than expected (16 percent)....

Fuck the polls. We can count on our Constitutional rights disappearing when the masses believe that the current administration's shit doesn't stink (see the last one).
Anyways, I think it's time to stop pretending that somehow the new occupant of the Oval Office wasn't left a shit sandwich on the desk. Not to mention that somehow we're supposed to pretend that it wasn't the last administration that blackmailed the Congress into signing over a $700 billion blank check. I'm not sure how the current administration's actions are that incongruous from the last one's. Shit, the last one expanded the socialist health care program we already have.

If I want a fight it is easy to find them. I am, though merely pointing out a bit of double standards slash hypocrisy.
Fox "news" and many here were all over Obama for using teleprompters at the beginning of his term.
I resurrected it, because it is very very emblematic of the kind of unreasoning stupid hysteria, and overall unfairness that many of the right are given to.
Do you think this is a good example of a stupid meme?

Obama says he supports something "bold". Which I assume means he hasn't been told what to think yet but will let us know as soon as it shows up on the teleprompter.
http://www.forexfactory.com/news.php?do=news&id=107910
Finally, Obama's opinion was given to him. It must have been rough on him to spend so much time staring at a blank teleprompter waiting for his opinion to show up.
On Obama - that's not true. He has had 20 months of changing his policies. 20 months of practicing the art of speaking without really saying anything. Still his handlers have him almost exclusively on a teleprompter.
Seemed to matter to you quite a bit.
Does it matter now that you have a moron like Donald "I have big words" Trump who can't fucking rub two syllables together without it?
Or would you like some cheeze with that glass of STFU?

Snakeboy and so many others bought into the teleprompter meme like dogs lapping up vomit. That manufactured bullshit was obvious to those of us not drinking the Fox "news" coolaid. Sure it made for ratings, so that the elites over at Fox could show the gullible dipwads in their audience something to make them feel a bit less insecure.
Now, years later y'all don't want your noses rubbed in it.
Can't blame you.

This seems like an appropriate thread for this...
More than 60 percent of Americans have an unfavorable opinion of Trump, leaving Clinton, with a 54 percent unfavorable rating, as only the second most unpopular presidential candidate in history. Both candidates, in fact, have held unfavorable ratings above 50 percent since launching their respective campaigns, with Trump hovering around the 60 percent mark, only a few points above Clinton. Asked to name a smell they might associate with this election, participants in a focus group conducted by Peter Hart in Wisconsin last week gave the following responses: “sulfur,” “rotten eggs,” "garbage,” “manure” and a “skunk’s fart.”
