Will it be rebuilding time for them? They're no where as bad off as phoenix which obviously needs to do something. But are the spurs going to have to say... Shed everyone but parker and duncan?

Everyone on that team is old as fuck except Parker, Hill, and Mason. They might need to trade everybody for younger players.

Spurs will probably stay the same with the exception of the few players that end their contracts this season (Bowen,Vaughn,Oberto IIRC). Finley has a player option, so it's up to him. We'll see how much Gooden wants also. They will probably take a look at Manu next season and see if he healed fine and has no other injuries, and offer an extension if that happens. Otherwise they might want to trade him to at least get something for him considering he would become a free agent.
I see more movement in 2010 frankly.

spurs seem to have a 2010 plan so its make it to the playoffs and get eliminated until 2010 comes aorund

spurs just need to trade a couple of wagoning fans for some pieces of patience, the rockets have been waiting over a decade for a second round, but none of the 4 1st-exits has ever induced the rockets to reconstruction. This year the rockets are about to make the second round, their efforts and patience finally are gonna pay off, congratulations to rockets. :toast

the spurs will be fine next year, Ian "the savior" Mahinmi will finally play.

team for next year:

core:
Parker
Manu
Duncan

supporting cast:
Gooden
Hill
Mason
Bowen
Gist
Mahinmi

Finley, Bonner, Thomas, Oberto, Udoka all need to go .

Finley is despicable on defense , Bonner is too white , Thomas just needs to retire , Oberto doesn't do much of anything anymore , Udoka is horrible at offense and he's lost a step on defense .

hopefully Hill with a year behind him can produce up to what his potential is . Gooden has proved his worth , with a 1/2 year behind him and a training camp he'll be better ; Mason is a keeper as long as he can fit in with Manu on offense and not dissapear ; Bowen has still got defensive ability, which could be invaluable in select situations or games; Mahinmi is a ? , but his athleticism and size are a good start ; Gist has versatility on D with his size and athleticism . his offense is a ? , but maybe he surprises .

i think this team is far from being done . i give them another three years with their current core as long as they have a good surrounding cast . that's the big question though .
