I never understood why Pop went away from Hill and decided to go with Mason as backup PG. It was a decision that didn't yield any positive results during the season (in fact, it screwed up Mason's game and took away Hill's playing time), and I think this decision has had a huge impact in the playoffs. And he's still sticking with it?!? Does anyone have any kind of insight into this decision?

No one but Pop does.

Gotta admit it's hard for me to bash a man who's coached us to 4 championships, but his decision to use Mason at PG has been a failure. It was so patently obvious before today, but no sooner does Mason switch to PG today, and the momentum shifts and we never get it back. Hell -- I'd rather go with Jacque Vaughn at PG if Pop doesn't want to play George Hill. Mason at PG not only screws up his game but it's a domino effect for the rest of the offense.

Honestly, I have absolutely no idea why Pop (my favorite Spur) would do this.
