...this game becomes even tougher to swallow. Take a look:

Spurs shoot 44%, Mavs shoot 38%

Spurs have 11 TOs, Mavs have 14

Tony Parker scores 43 and Tim has 25 10 and 7, whereas Dirk and JT combine for 22 points on 7-26 shooting.

All this and the Spurs lose. Why? Well these are a few things that stand out:

Spurs shoot a frigid 26% from Downtown, Mavs shoot 40%. Mavs make 10 FTs to our 6 giving them a 12 point advantage from downtown.

Spurs go 22-34 from the FT line (Tim goes 11-18, Tony 5-8 including two huge misses in the 4th)! Mavs go 33-39, an 11 point advantage.

Mason, Bonner, and Finley combine to go 2-14 for 7 points, including a number of RETARDED offensive decisions by Bonner and Finley in the final two minutes.

Sad thing about those 3s at the end by Finley and Bonner were clearly drawn up by Pop.

You forgot the most important one: REBOUNDING.

+14 for the mavs, and above all + 8 offensive rebounds.

if we shot our FT at 80 %, which would have been good for the spurs, that's 5 more points.

The outrebounding probably costed us a 12 or 13 points differential.

Good point. Completely forgot that. Tim had NO help on the boards. Way too much pressure on him to get every rebound.
