Who's given up already and who thinks the Spurs can come back? They were down 1-3 against the Hornets last year, and didn't have a Game 7 at home to look ahead to....and the Hornets were/are a better team than the Mavs...and we have more talent to step it up than we did last year.

I dont think the spurs are out yet, they are a great team and they can come back! Everyone always underestimates them which they should! I am a die hard spurs fan and have been since I was a baby! alot of tha Spurs bandwagon jumpers have jumped off because they think its over now but it aint over till its over!

It's not about "giving up". I will keep cheering for the team, you must always fight to the very end, but that doesn't change the fact that we're going nowhere this year - any sort of rational analysis tells me that.

No Manu, a half-fit Tim, and no SPAM = first round fodder, and realising that does not make me or anyone else who says it a bad fan. I have traveled half way around the world to see the team play on two separate occasions, and lived Spurs for 20 years.

Of course we can but i'm not sure if we will of not. The Mavs will basically be playing with the house's money in Game 5 so i honestly expect us to win on Tuesday. Game 6 is the one that i'm afraid we'll lose but if somehow we win Game 6 and bring back here for Game 7 i think we win this series.

we were down 3-1 against the hornets? don't remember that but always have faith in a team that has produced 4 championships. spurs are not a team for sketchy fans.

Spurs are an old team, there is no way they are going to win 3 games in a row :lol

Their odds of winning have nothing to do with whether or not I will root for them.

They will lose this series, but I'll root for them as long as they are playing.

If they don't lose tomorrow they will lose in Dallas. And you can't luck your way to a championship. So what does it matter if they beat Dallas. They won't get lucky 4 series's in a row. Our team is washed up and incredibly imbalanced. Alot of changes need to happen in the offseason. And i'm not a fake fan, I will be rooting for them til the end, but i'm not delusional either. This year has been a mess.

Can the Spurs win tonight and eventually win the series? Yes. Is it likely to happen that way? No. But those long odds won't preclude me from supporting the team I have supported and worshiped since 1978. Despite the slim chances the Spurs have of winning this series I can't help but be excited about our prospects for next season. With Gino back and a whole slew of new players we should be a serious contender again next time around. Can't wait.

Spurs wont be able to come back after being down 3-1you might be right but we are still supporting them, they gave us 4 championship this decade IMO that's something to be proud of, now is our turn to return the favor. One day you might know how it feels or maybe your grandkids one day might know how it feels to win at least 1 championship because I don't think the Mavs will win a championship in your life time:flag:

Given up.

No they weren't.

and the Hornets were/are a better team than the Mavs...
True.

and we have more talent to step it up than we did last year.
Uh... no. :lol These Spurs are Parker, half of Tim Duncan, and a heap of garbage.

But I'll still watch and convince myself in the moment there is somehow a chance they'll win.

Because if they send parker to the line 20 times he will only hit 12 of them.

The Spurs were never down 3-1 to New Orleans.

Dallas is not as good as last year's Hornets. That's what makes this doable. However, we aren't strong enough to represent the West in the finals.

The poll isn't quite right in its choices. There should be a choice that says "Spurs COULD win 3 straight against the Mavs and take the series, but I don't believe that they WILL do it." Difference is between ability (yes) and likelihood (no.)

Sure would love to see it, though.

Obviously, if the Spurs lose Game 5 it's over.

BUT, if they win Game 5, which I think there is a good chance they will, then they're right back in this thing. The Mavs have never done well under pressure, and if they can't close this out when they have the momentum in their favor, they will crumble. No way are the Mavs a tough enough team mentally to win a Game 7 in San Antonio. A game 7 in Dallas? MAYBE. Even then, I'd bet against them even if I WASN'T a Spurs fan.

Yeah I've given up...we might win tomorrow but I don't expect to win in Dallas. Send some crow my way if needed.
