Apparently he was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs only to be giving away to a division rival...

He's right at getting mad at Buford, in Europe he already had this jumper and the rebounding ability. The Spurs FO fucked up big on this one.

You'll get Mahinmi next year and Maybe Splitter. There's light at the end of the tunnel but damn Scola is good!

I agree. Watching Yao and Scola work together made me want to weep.
Apparently the Spurs FO figured that after sweeping the Cavs in '07 and being just one moronic foul away from probably winning in '06, they were masters of the universe and had this NBA thingy all figured out.
I can just imagine RC standing before a "Mission Accomplished" banner in Holt's living room Spurs after trading away Scola and signing Bonner.

It just get worse and worse. It won't stop bleeding.
Bonner: the worst spurs player in the play offs, anti-clutch, ready to go fishing.
Scola: one of the best rockets players, possibly MVP, proven clutch, ready to go second round.

Yup, Duncan+TP+Scola would be challenging the Lakers for the WC this year. Duncan's late season knee troubles could have been avoided if Scola took some of his minutes.
