Is that the game where you can fly around the screen and shit?

Never cared for it much.

MVC2 is one of the best fighters ever made. I still have my xbox version which is pretty rare.. i think they sell for over 80 bucks.

I still remember busting out 200 hit combos with Gambit, Iron Man, and Cyclops.

Xbox one is pretty rare, I myself have the Dreamcast one with case and book and the disc is clean too.

That Deamcast one is pretty rare as well (as I'm sure you know). I cannot wait for this version. The video on IGN looked good, but not the massive leap I was expecting after SFIIHD. I guess MvC2 was more recent so the graphical leap isn't as noticeable.

I've got the dreamcast version sitting on my counter in my dreamcast behind me.

As long as this has online I'd consider buying it.

ps 2 is the one that sells for 100+$ not the other versions

They are so rare because I think a couple months after they released it, the license deal Marvel and Capcom had with eachother ended and production ceased.

music sucked
controls were edgy
gameplay was over the top and a lot of things were unneccassary
too many cheap characters
no skill involved just a button masher
graphics seemed strecthed and color palletes sort of stinked

lies. MVC2 is all that is good in a fighter. It's supposed to be over the top.

:lmao if they still kept the "I'm gonna take you for a riiiiide... da duh da duh"

I still have nightmares from that song.

The problem with that all you needed to press was QCF+HP, nothing else, most of the moves were geared to just making them look nice and easy to do so anybody could do them and you could get in a bunch nice/multi-hit combos and that saps the fun. I enjoyed the balance of having stratgeical chaos as wel as button mashing when you had no choice. When I'm playing MVC2 I can't even build a fighting profile with a character, it just feels like that I have no choice but to keep on doing a regular super over until the other player dies.

I wanted to like MVC2, I thought MVC was cool (especially the Ryu persona change to Ken and Akuma, made Ryu very verstaile and added some strategy), but starting with X -Men vs Street Fighter, the Marvel vs Capcom titles starting sucking slowly one after another.

I mean I guess I am more accustomed to traditional SF games. (SFII, alpha, third strike, and IV)

No no, I was being sarcastic. As I said earlier in the thread, all the flying round the screen and shit didn't do anything for me. I basically share the same opinion.

Its not your average fighter. Its meant to be over the top and a button masher. Its easily accessible and is just supposed to be a fun time blowing shit up.

Its not meant to be a skill based battle attrition like other fighting games, it caters to a different crowd. I like it for those reasons, not saying its the best, but on fun factor alone its very high up there.

I've heard "I'm gonna take you for a ride" enough times to mute the game, I'll agree on that point. That music makes me want to kill myself.

Though I was disappointed that the graphic weren't updated a bit more for the demo. Anyone know the actual release date?
