Orlando Magic: Swingman Hedo Turkoglu will miss the rest of the season after fracturing his left wrist, the team said after an examination by team doctors Tuesday.

Turkoglu was driving to the basket when he got tangled and went down late in Monday's game at Charlotte. Recovery time is estimated to be six to eight weeks.

The 6-foot-10 Turkoglu was averaging 14 points and 3.5 rebounds in 67 games this season. The injury robs the Magic of their top 3-point shooter (.380).

The injury will likely mean more playing time for Pat Garrity, the team's other main 3-point threat. Garrity is averaging just 4.5 points.

Turkoglu signed as a free agent in the offseason after three years with Sacramento and one with San Antonio.

Are you sure he just didn't get a nasty yeast infection or something?

After Juwan Howard took out DA and then tried the same bullshit on Malik in a span of 3 games I wouldn't have any sympathy if he got hit by a Mack truck or contracted an STD.

Things will be really spooky if Malik, Stephen and AD get injured :)

Stephen is already injured, in the brain. Didn't you see the Detroit brawl?

Isn't it ironic that he got injured "driving to the basket?"
I don't recall him doing much of that when he was with the Spurs...
Tough break though.

Maybe one of his patented layups slammed off the backboard and into his wrist.

Well, it was his left hand, and we all know how those left handed layups always turned out.

He should have cleared out his purse more. A heavy purse can cause weak wrists.

Oh my poor Hedo! Thanks for telling me so I can pray for him. What a bummer! He's been having a great season. I just hope he has a speedy recovery and doesn't get terribly out of sync in the process. Man that sucks!
