Look, even if you are a desperate homer, you have to agree that when you heard about Manu being done for the post season, you knew the door to get past LA was slammed shut. With the way we just went out of this series, LA would have probably walked all over us, if we were to have magically gotten there some how. So let's face it, the plan was to get past Dallas and then get faced with Denver?

Listen, I don't care what anyone says, with the way things are in professional sports I'm just glad our team didn't lose any more of our guys to injury. Tim gets a longer summer to rest and exercise, Manu is already on the bike. Only other one that will definitely be back on our team to be concerned about is Tony, since he claims to be playing in a European Championship league this summer. We'll see how that goes.

Time to suffer through the painful draft prospect threads, the incredibly inane "trade idea" threads, and the unbelievably terrible feeling of hearing about the preseason workouts and exhibitions for next year.

But, I digress. We'll all (mostly) be back here, same time, same place. Hopefully with a healthy team and a better shot at number five next year.

I'm fairly confident with Manu playing we win that series in 6. Sad to see how badly this team falters without him.

door was exposed in last years playoffs....

this year we thought we had solve our mistakes, but:
-pop was busy with mind games
-ginoboli injured
-players with minor injuries in the regular season
-role players not living up to the hype in the playoffs

The season ended when Manu went out, but you still try in the playoffs. If the Spurs could have put the game 2 effort on the floor every night, there's not anyone in the NBA they couldn't have competed with, and that's the truth. The biggest shame is that there appeared to be members of the Spurs that went on vacation before game one. I hope most of those guys aren't here for training camp.

Honestly even with Manu in there I don't see this bench helping us at all in the big picture.
