Can score, would be nice to have him coming off the bench so the Spurs could start Manu.

This guy plays exactly how Pop wishes his backup point guards would play. Ball hog, looking to score, never backing down.

That said, he has sucked in the playoffs and he's the type that can shoot you out of a game.

I don't see it..

we already have Parker/Hill/Mason/Ginobili..

he isn't big enough for the 3, and his D isn't good enough to guard good wings..

Yes, but he has shown the ability (some great games this year) to score in bunches. He can do his own thing off the dribble. He is much better version of Pargo.

He can definitely get to the rim consistently, but his only intention on the floor is to score really.

It depends how Pop wants to use Hill in the future. Does he want him as the backup point? Starting shooting guard? Backup shooting guard spark?

There could be scenarios in which the Spurs will be in the need of a backup point.

I'd take Pargo, he's a better one-on-one defender.

He's an upgrade over guys like Vaughn and Udoka. So...why not..

sure, but I think we have a long list of needs and hopes before Flip..

Good, that is what the Spurs need. This depends on the price. There are so many options available that it is mind-boggling. Spurs need a SF and a C. If they cannot hit home runs there, then looking to add some more depth at pg/sg, especially scoring wise would help.

His role has typically been a "microwave" kind of guy coming off the bench. He'd have to become as aggressive on the defensive end as he is offensively and be willing to pass a little more. Better option than Vaughn, but not a primary one to say the least.

We have other needs to fix before adding another point guard/shooting guard.

I assume his market value will be around the 3.5-5.0 mil range. Therefore no thank you.

If anything I'd look at:

Lindsey Hunter/ Tyronn Lue as our 3rd pg for the vet minimum. Or maybe Luther Head.

I dont see the spurs going after him...I am not a huge fan.

I'd love to see us get a guy like Kleiza.

Do you people even understand that there are players who just WON'T FIT on the Spurs? Like 80% of NBA players?

Flip Murray is a shameless chucker of the worst pedegree.

If Flip Murray ever donned a Spurs uniform, Pop would build a doghouse inside his already famous doghouse, and Murray would be inside the inner doghouse until Pop could get rid of him.

Flip's idea of shot selection is taking one while double covered and 40 feet away from the rim. Of course he air balls it, but that doesn't stop him from taking the exact same dumb ass shot the next time down the floor...and the time after that.
