What do you think, ST?

If "other" please specify in your post.

Bruce can still play. But Bonner has to stop starting.

I like our bigs off the bench, but none of them should be starting.

A long 3 or legitimate big man would serve the same purpose, and you would really only know the difference depending on what team we were playing. Bottom line, we need to get taller, and more athletic. All things considered, I'd take the three.

I don't know....it's sooo hard to choose, if we could I would like to get all three, b/c we NEED a staring calibur big man, a defensive minded long three, I know we have Bruce Bowen, but he can't play many minutes, and is he really long?, We need an athletic slashing wing, we have Manu, but what if he gets injured again? But, we can't get all three. Or can we? I'm not sure which is our greatest need!

I picked the bigman, but we need both: a bigman and an athletic swingman.

For me it's a big. If you get a good big who can defend around the rim it may help to neutralize the long/athletic Small and Power forwards popping up in the west even if you don't have as much length at the wing positions. Gooden's situation is uncertain (though I have an inkling he might not return), Oberto is likely gone, Bonner has the size of a PF but plays like a SF, and Kurt is getting longer in the tooth. This year made it that much more evident that Tim cannot take on the load in the paint by himself anymore and needs help.

Center. Absolutely no question about it.

need a defensive SF to replace bowen. spurs have no one to guard the perimeter anymore. popovich won't play bowen, mason lags behind, hill is too small to guard SFs, and the spurs surely don't want ginobili chasing around players like durant, james, and bryant. if popovich didn't play bowen during the regular season, he's not going to do it after bowen ages another year.

To Add to the "Big" point:

-We have solid offense around the perimeter, but when Tim is on the bench we have no offensive options in the post at this point which would be limiting if he had to miss an extensive amount of time.

-We need more consistency regarding rebounding from our PF/C positions.

Big man, but a long athletic 3 isn't far behind.

Big man, but a long athletic 3 isn't far behind.

Yeah, that's what I would say as well. I wouldn't mind Bonner coming of the bench and getting ten to 15 minutes, but he should not be a starter any more.

It's got to be a big. If the Spurs have any chance of getting back to playing "Spurs Basketball" they need a difference maker in the paint.

I chose other. We need a combination of a defensive 3/athletic slasher. I think a combination of those would work.

All the above.
