View Full Version : I'm calling it now...Lakers sweep Cleveland in the Finals

Thanks to injuries to Manu Ginobili and Kevin Garnett, Stern will get his wish of LA vs. Cleveland in the Finals.
But it will also prove to be quite the possibly the most lopsided NBA Finals since 2002. LeBron isn't doing anything against the Lakers in the Finals. He played some of the worst basketball by any NBA player ever vs. the Lakers. 14-for-45 from the floor and never came close to competing.
I am not getting on the Laker bandwagon, nor am I a Lakers fan, but I for sure will look forward to LeBron being sent home in the Finals again. Or will he?
What's it going to be Stern? This series will end up hurting Kobe or LeBron's career. Kobe will either be 0-3 in his last three Finals trips or LeBron will be 0-2 in his two Finals trips.
Who's career does Stern want to hurt more?

Thank God. Gonna be tough enough to win a title without Spurs Dynasty's endorsement.

If the Lakers win the title, it better be in LA. Nothing like that ceremony in front of the fans in 2000.

Last week SD had us loosing to Utah in round 1. Now we are headed to the title. :bang
What a waste of space...
Ahem.
The Mavericks have been eliminated in the first round in 2007 and 2008 and are soft in the playoffs. Spurs in 4, in 5 if the Mavericks get lucky.
He predicted the Spurs would win in 4 and look what happened...

Whats with this Stern dream match up BS. Cleveland cannot pull the ratings that Boston would even with an injury depleted team.

I pledge the Lakers will get swept one round ahead, probably our boys in blue will take this glorious misson to rape Lakers in WCF. I would like to see Lakers sink before the WCF begins, but neither the rockets nor the blazers are capable enough to finish this job.

Be scared, Laker fans...
Lakers vs. Jazz - This series won't be an "upset", Utah will just go out and do what they're supposed to do, they are the favorites in this series. - WHOOOPS!!
Nuggets vs. Hornets - New Orleans in 5. - WHOOPS!!
Spurs vs. Mavericks - Spurs in 4, in 5 if the Mavericks get lucky. - WHOOPS!!
Cavaliers vs Detroit - Detroit has nothing to prove here, they're a perennial contender and will just go out and do what they're supposed to do. Detroit is the favorite in the series. - WHOOPS!!

I'm calling it now. SD is such a jinx that neither the Lakers nor Cavs reach the finals and the finals will be Denver vs Atlanta.
