He should and let his career end where it started. Don't know if he's a good fit anywhere else anyway....except maybe the Knicks who don't have a real PG and could possibly use a guy like him to further implement D'Antoni's the "run-n-gun" offense.

He could go ring-hunting with Kobe. I think he's an upgrade over Fisher or Shannen Brown. The Lakers can only give him the MLE, while the Mavs can do far more than that without screwing up anything for 2010.

He has remade himself as an effective complementary player, and it took about a year of adjustments on both sides, but they've finally started to click with him and found an identity. I think he has another year like this left in him and the Mavs can go into the offseason optimistic that they're only a few roster upgrades away.

I think it's imperative the Mavs resign him, unless George Shinn calls up Cuban and says "Hey, I'm about to default on some loans, so you can have Chris Paul for your expiring garbage, but I need you to take Peja off my hands too."
