If he can still block shots and rebound decently, I'll take him for the minimum.

I know hes up there in age and all but do you think that Theo Ratliff would be a good signing if he would accept the LLE? From there maybe Bonner would be expendable and package him and Finley for another SF.... Your thoughts....

Since you brought Theo up, how about an update on his physical condition and productivity? Isn't he about 38?

He's been reasonably productive as a reserve center the past two seasons. If you want a guy to eat regular season minutes, he can help you. I wouldn't count on anything beyond that.

He still has some left in the tank, but I think we should go younger..Ratliff will be 37 going into next year's playoffs..

Wasnt Kevin Willis like forty plus when he got a ring with us..... He would make a great insurance in the event someone goes down.....

I liked him for a long time and dreamed from about 2001 to 2007 or so that the Spurs might get him, but unfortunately his time as a dominant shot blocker has passed. Was awesome at his peak.

He's a great rebounder and shot blocker, I think he'd be great for the LLE, and would make for a great backup experienced big man. He'd be superb on D.

I haven't heard much about him this summer, but what do you guys think about signing him up?

We don't need him we have so many big men. We should trade finley/bonner for Raja bell.

I think having TD and McDyess to start games would be obvious, but with only Mahinmi and Blair to play big man back up on the bench (here's to hoping Bonner's days are numbered), I think that frontline is a little bit too young. It'd be nice to pair them with an experienced big that would help the second unit.

And yeah, I'd be down with that trade, but I'd be surprised if Charlotte would pull the trigger on that.

Ratliff is washed up. You've got to go back about 5 years to find a time when he was putting up the same numbers Rasho put up last year.

I'd rather Radoslav. And I'm not as sure I'd want the Spurs to sign him for the LLE. Yes, he'd be able to make his defensive rotations, but Spur history records playoffs with him being mock sodomized by Beno on the bench.

At this point I wouldn't mind seeing the Spurs use the LLE opportunistically to sign a young player with a couple NBA seasons under his belt who they feel has some upside and/or fits the program. McCants, Carney, or SGraham. I guess Almond would be a possibility as well.

I think Pop may have a heart attack if, outside of the SL group, he has to coach more rooks and new players!

The Spurs will probably sign Robert Horry just to appease Pop, and keep in from building that invisible plane that no one knows exists...

Perhaps. I think the Spurs will make a move to bring in a solid vet for the bench and clear up some roster spots. Moving Bonner and Finley makes sense to that end.

Kinda evens it out now with having so many young bigs on our roster.. Like Timvp said, Bonner might not be
one, but he plays like a rookie..

Maybe this means we will trade Bonner or some other players. I don't think he fills the bill and our makeover. Oh well, the FO has done a great job so far so I'm gonna give them the benefit of my doubts.

Yep. Guess they like Ratliffe better than someone else on the team. It's either Bonner or Mahinmi or both.
