I'd like him lot as the 3rd point guard, but can he be had for the LLE???

Too good for a 3rd string PG.

Didn't you want him on the spurs a few years back??
He'll stick around in Sacramento.

You can say this for Bobby Jackson: he's NOT afraid of the Lakers.

Hence, we have position a back up PG.

He made $6.5 mil last year. Do you think he'll sign for the minimum? LLE? :lol:lol:lol

Being that he's an older player, and just finished his contract, I think he's likely seen the last of any deals of that amount.

Coupled with no one but contenders spending money this year due to next year's free agency bananza, especially for a older player like himself, I think he could be had for the LLE.

Thoughts?

1. Old
2. Oft injured
3. No

If he'd accept the 3rd string role and a vet min salary I'd be all for it. But he won't.

I don't even want him as 3rd PG for vet min. He isn't a PG anyway. If we need a 6'1" gunner, then we need to develop McClinton.

Where did Jacque Vaughn disappear to?

The guy will be 36 this season.. Is he really better than Hill?

I'd take Bobby Jackson. The veteran third string point guard options are basically Jackson, Anthony Carter and Luther Head.

I'm all over Bobby Jackson for the min and as the 3rd PG.

But are we certain we're letting Vaughn walk?

Who, pray tell, is the 2d point guard?

He reminds me too much of a washed up Charlie Ward, NVE, Damon Stoudamire, et al.

I say we go for Luther. The man can shoot.

I'm not sure which sarcastic reply to use, so I'll use them both:

Yeah, the only thing missing from the team is one more shooter, and not someone to run the offense and distribute the ball.

OR

Yeah, Bobby Jackson isn't a good shooter.

He is good. I don't think we can get him with LLE.

What planet are you living on? BJack hasn't been good in probably 5 years.

Pass. I would rather leave the roster spot open for a youngling. Manu is more than capable of running 3rd stringer PG if the need arises. Plus if we do need a 3rd string PG full time, we can always trade for one in the second half of the season.

I'm not certain that we're letting Vaughn walk, but I'm in the minority.

We just got finished getting a little younger. We don't need to reverse ourselves and get older. If MCC can be developed, then do it. Or use other Spurs as backup if the first two get hurt.

McClinton is not a PG and rookies are not good 3rd PG's unless you intend to groom them to be something more. Right now between Parker and Hill we're set at the 1st two PG slots.

Sign a vet. Vote for Bobby Jackson.

With the recent report that Tony P got injured ,serious or not serious do you think the spurs should take a look at Jackson to help relieve scoring when Ghill is struggling
