Ariza is younger and has more upside at this point in his career.....i have to go with Ariza.

For the same amount of money, give me Odom.

Money for the value, probably Ariza.

Kobe Bryant or Andrew Bynum? Discuss.

Ariza, cause he's cheaper, younger, and will start.

I get the feeling that Laker fans highly undervalue Lamar Odom.

At times I undervalue him, other times I want his ass off the team as soon as possible. I would say ariza is more consistent.

I think this would be the consensus of most Lake fans. Good post Fag.

Odom. I believe in loyalty and Lamar has been here when we were a crap team for that one year. That and Lamar can play three positions on the floor and is a matchup nightmare.

if for the same money Odom, he is so gifted and plays more than 1 position, and Knowing how injury prone Andrew is we need Odom

Has to be Lamar Odom. Lamar Odom can replace either Bynum or Pau and there's no drop in team performance. Also, Odom seems to be the best leader of the Bench mob. Odom's defense is also very under-rated, he's gotta be one of the best defensive Power Forwards in the NBA.

As good as Ariza is, he isn't the matchup nightmare that Odom is to other teams.

Ariza does take quite a load off of Kobe though.

I wish they could keep both!

If Lamar was younger, I would take him as he can do anything from rebounding to shooting.

Ariza is young and talented, plus he's only going to get better.

I'd take Ariza.

If the Lakers let Lamar walk this "Kobe" Laker team will never win a ring. They can get away with letting Ariza walk and still find a replacement that can do what they need from that position but letting a guy like Lamar walk isn't replaceable and he does so much for this team. They still might find a way to sign both though, how this season unfolds will be the deciding factor.

Right now Odom as he can do more on the court. Ariza does impact the game very well with his hustle and defense.

If the Lakers win the title, Dr. Buss will retain them both and pay the taxes. If not I see Odom being let go and Ariza getting the mid level exception.

Huh? Hmmmm let me see, they have been together for one season. They lost in the finals. So yeah, thanks for stating the obvious.

Hmmm... let me see. KG, Pierce and Ray Allen all have been together for just one season. What's your point again?

Odom gives the Rockets some matchup issues. Ariza not so much.
