Hearing on the news now, huge gas main fire at Blanco and Huebner. Flames 4 stories high. Businesses evacuated. Man that construction there has been a pain in the butt!

Blanco Rd past 1604 has been a pain in the butt regardless of the construction.

I can't wait to move back inside 1604. Hopefully by the end of the summer.

Yes they just said someone was injured :( I live less than 2 miles from there; my subdivision doesn't have gas lines.

you would think that when a company does trench digging jobs they would be aware of where gas lines are.

Bet that trencher operator cleansed his colon...a 24" gas line makes a big boom.

Take that road home from their every day and live about 4 miles from that intersection.

Great, now it'll be sometime around the time my 7 yeard old daughter graduates college that Blanco will finally be widned.

They do have to call to have undergound utilities located it's the law, but sometimes accidents happen. Maybe I can create a new "underground utilities czar".

Thing that gets me is it sounds like they hit the gas line that was buried there not a month ago.

Pinche construction trash. Can't find no good help these days.

Capital Excavation IMHO is (until todays setback) doing an exceptional job on the Blanco Expansion. Its one of the faster projects I've seen being completed in SA in years.

Whoever did the work between Wilderness Oak and Timberwood Park has done it exceptionally fast and apparently well.

I've wondered if there was a different contractor for the stretch between Huebner and Wilderness. . . .

Probably because it's a county project and not being run by TxDOT.
