So much for him giving a huge edge to the Lakers. Forget what he did in January or the last 4 regular season games. The guy has literally sucked ass these entire playoffs. The only thing he has done on a consistent basis is foul or be out of position on D. Dont expect that to change as the year goes on. He got demoted to a bench role and he is getting worse and worse as these playoffs go on.

He's still coming back from injury. He's personally said his knee feels 80-85% of what it used to be. It's hard for him to get re-acclimated right smack dab in the playoffs.

It won't be until next season that he's back to his old self IMHO. Good thing is LAL doesn't really need him.

LOL at Charles Barkley looking for Bynum under the Inside the NBA desk.

Laker fans were screaming how he matched up great against Yao because he was quicker and more athletic. An 80% Bynum should score more than zero points in a playoff game.

If Bynum isnt a factor, the Lakers chances for a title take an even bigger hit. Their horrible D is already an issue but they need Bynum to be a contributor to help their chances.

"Hey Chuck, what are you looking under the table for?"

"Andrew Bynum".

Hahah, that was cold. Yup, Bynum has sucked in the Playoffs so far. Totally out of rhythm but he'll rub out a good series before these Playoffs/Finals are over.

Phil's confidence in Bynum is shrinking. Hell Bynum looks like he has ZERO confidence in himself.

What happens when he plays Memphis again?

I agree....he's disappeared and not playing well at all. It's a confidence issue for sure.

Really the Lakers needed Bynum to beat HOU/DEN/CLE/BOS this year? I could have sworn they beat all those teams without him.

Your defensive issues are a major problem and Bynum was suppose to help shore the interior. He is either in foul trouble or out of position. These issues arent going to fix themselves overnight. They arent winning or getting anywhere near a championship if this problem doesnt get fixed. Lakers give up too many layups/easy baskets/wide open 3 point shots. Those regular season meetings mean nothing. LA has yet to show me they can play solid D in a 7 game series over the last 2 years.

Cleveland right now would crush the Lakers. Bynum is closer to Oden right now than he is Yao.

We all know the Bobcats would beat the Lakers in a 7 game series.

I heard he is dating Rhianna. Probably throwing of his game a little. :)

I think the Lakers absolutely need him, specially this series. It won't be long before we have a game where Gasol gets in foul trouble guarding Yao, and you absolutely are going to need a big body to bang with him on the post. Bynum is all they have, and he's been really bad so far. What's even worse is that he's getting outhustled by smaller players like Landry. I thought he was supposed to be the anchor on defense, but he can't even battle for a board.

That said, he only needs to have one good game to make an impact and build confidence.
