Reported in Greece........

Ioannis Bourousis has been offered contracts by Olympiacos (extension) Real Madrid, CSKA Moscow, Orlando Magic, Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, Golden State Warriors, and San Antonio Spurs. His decision will come soon, short time after Greek league playoff finals are finished.

:downspin::rollin:ihit

Bourousis preference maybe is stay in Olympiacos because of most money but he will also make very strong consideration to go to NBA and decision will be hard.

Out of those 3, memphis might be the best bet. Golden State is a circus and you have to consider, just how much longer is Duncan going to play if you go to the Spurs.

It comes from Olympiacos official. They believe they can sign him to extension because they offer very big contract but Bourousis is also wanting to play in NBA very badly.

I can't see why the guy would want to go to the Spurs, they're clearly in decline. He's better off going to the Grizzles or Warriors if he's going to come play in the NBA.

nice to see a link finally, but that doesn't mean shit yet. its all speculation. But its not about that. now its like kbp was right after all and we stupid spurs fans, nba lovers didn't want to believe a european player like bourousis can play in the nba. But that is not what it all was about. it was all about that, suddenly from out of nothing, kbp was speculating about bourousis joining spurs. we didnt think it was necessary cause he has just never been linked with the spurs then. We just did not understand all the fuzz kbp was creating about nothing. just because he wants to prove us that a player like him could play with the spurs. he could probably, but so whaT?

Dude..I already posted that link translated...nowhere in there does it say they offered him a contract. They CAN'T offer a contract right now. It does say they're interested, but the Spurs are interested in a LOT of people..doesn't mean they're going to sign them, or even offer them anything.

It comes from Olympiacos official.

Well... sort of an official. It's the guy who sells gyros at all the home games. But he also works in the mail room, and he saw envelopes that he's pretty sure had contracts inside. And the first thing he did was run and tell KillBill, because he knows that he is so well respected over here.

No, douchebag...you're wrong...but we're used to that here...it's normal. They can't offer NBA contracts without permission, and they can't get permission, because there are stipulations against it this time of year. This isn't fucking Greece..you can't just go out and offer contracts any time of year that you want to...we actually have rules here, so stop pulling bullshit out of a hat because the same fucking link YOU posted that's supposed to prove you right actually proves you wrong. It says those three teams are interested in him. Spurs are interested in a lot of players..that doesn't mean they're going to be offered contracts.

NBA clubs can offer contracts to foreign players at any time.

Indazone

Contract rules for the NBA also include foreign players do they not? This should be an internal NBA rule. If not then, all bets are off. Any team can offer a contract overseas at any time.

This is the NBA, dude..if a player is being signed by an NBA, they have to be signed defined by the guidelines..Just because a guy is playing in a Euro league right now doesn't mean he can get away without following the rules of the NBA when he's coming to play here...if he's leaving that Euro league to play for the NBA, he has to abide by the NBA rules. The free agency period in the current union agreement starts July 14th...then and only then can a player, foreign or not, be offered an NBA contract. So NO..he HASN'T been offered an NBA contract. So once more...STOP LYING!

Let's get real. Does somebody trully bealives that if the Spurs want to sign Bourousis and there's the posibility that if they don't make a move now some other team will sign him that Pop and company won't at least go to speak with Bourousis and say: "look we can't offer you a contract now but we want you in our team, we'll pay "X" amount of money for "X" amount of seasons are you interested?"

Do you trust some guy you don't know who has an inner circle of advisers you don't know with information that could cost you a serious penalty with the league? I don't know enough about how things really work to know the answer.

But, Joe Smith?

I'm pretty sure that every NBA team pulls these kind of stunts every year.

You obviously won't do something like this in front of a lot of people, just the player you want to sign and his manager, and they wouldn't say anything 'cause it wouldn't be beneficial for them.

P/S: I don't remember Joe Smith's case, what happened then?

It wasn't exactly the same thing, but Minny got caught offering Smith something lower with the promise of something higher later and it cost them big time.

definitely not the same thing, but shows that you can get caught messing with the contract rules.

Why would I do this? Will the board accept that I have inside knowledge if he does? NO they will still call me names and insult me as always. I do not play your double standards game.

And if he is a "scrub" why would now 5 different clubs of NBA be after him? Explain your logic please.
