....if some fundamentalists used violence to abduct Terri Schiavo from the hospice? They would have to, in order to subdue the law enforcement in place. The legal system has spoken over and over on this case, so these people would be imposing their will on society using violent means.

Question.

I would not condone such an action.

Whether I would call it "terrorism" is another story.

I would call it "wrong".

(Just as I also believe killing abortion doctors and blowing up abortion clinics is also wrong...even though I believe abortion to be murder)

Per Dictionary.com

The definition of terrorism is "The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons."

I personally agree with Jane and Travis but by strict letter of definition, it could be interpreted as terrorism. If a group wanted to "protect" Terry by kidnapping her in order to try and coerce the people who are for keeping the tube out to reconsider based on their ideological belief that the tube should stay in and she should remain alive in that manner.

Isn't that something to consider? Likely this particular act would not be termed a "terrorist" act but if you are on the wrong side of the politics, in today's environment, acts or actors maybe classified terrorism or terrorist to be arrested and fall under the "new rules".

That people consider what "right" is fucked up? The millions of murdered unborn annually, or the 5 or 6 mentally unstable pro-life activists that murdered abortion "doctors"?

I think both are very fucked up. You?

I think it qualifies as organized crime.

Kidnapping is a federal crime, and the conspiracy to do so might get a RICO charge like User said.
