Yea I'm pleased with our season, without Yao and Mac we've done the best we could. Take Gasol away and you guys wouldn't have made it past the Jazz let alone the Rockets. So yea it's been a very good year...

They announced that something big is happening on the 24th during the ECF. They plan on announcing something about it, or something like that.

Yeah...this is about as good as it gets for Houston. Pushing the Lakers to six games is impressive when you consider all the circumstances.

Impressive as in absolutely meaningless.

But at least they gave the Lakers a better battle than the sorry ass Spurs did back in 08.

Houston had a good run, even if they lose the next game

The Lakers are very good with playing competitive basketball with injury-depleted teams.

They sure didn't play "competitive" basketball in game 5.

I'm proud of everything the Rockets have done this year. They made their main goal of getting past the first round. Multiple injuries decimated this team but they were resilient and played through it. Pushing the Lakers, the best team in the Western Conference to six games is a statement in of itself. I hope that we push the series to 7 games but I'm happy with them regardless what happens.

LA has written the book on meaninglessness over the past 6 seasons, so I guess I'll take your word for it.

I'm going to be happy the next game if the Rockets just show up, play their game and they don't shoot 17%. Landry and Brent Barry were the only two Rockets who showed up last night.

I am going to laugh my ass off if this Rocket team without Yao and McGrady take the Lakers to a 7th game.

I wouldn't count on it but anything is possible. :)

Houston is certainly not as bad as they looked last night; they'll be ready to play tomorrow.

Yes, because a MMORPG and a FPS are the same thing and very comparable. :lmao

Good to know Lakers fans didn't care about Game 6 of last year's finals, cause if they did...... ouch.

Good to know Lakers fans didn't mind getting taken to 6 or 7 games by a team the Spurs would have beaten, Dallas would have crushed, and Denver would sweep. It would have sucked if they actually wanted to sweep them like they all said they were going to.

Lakers will not win the Champioship. Kobe might has not proven he is a Champion. Shaq sure did. If it was not for that lopsided Gasol trade they would not be herre.

failed attempt

Lakers fans did care...most rockets fans (even in this thread) admitted prior to the game that win or lose, they are happy (rightfully so).

Better luck next time.

Fact is the Rockets would have laid the wood to the Lakers by over 50 pts if they were missing Kobe, Gasol, and Bynum which is effectively what the Rockets have lost this season.

But it's not like this is the first time. The GM should know this by now.

Are the Rockets even allowed to use the injury card with Yao and T-mac anymore?

One of them has been injured during the playoffs for the past what 6-7 years? At this point you pretty much have to expect that one or both of them will not be there when you need them the most.

Well, I guess you can in a sense. McGrady was out for the season; Yao came back relatively healthy so for him to go down in the middle of a playoff series does impact the Rockets negatively though they managed to win on game w/o him against the Lakers. While I do think the Lakers are the better team , the Rockets managed to win one at Staples Ctr. and who knows what would've happened had Yao not got injured? Would the Rockets been able to pull an upset w Yao and the other guys - McGrady? Possibly....but not having Grady & Yao...highly unlikely.
