Thanks for helping this team achieve more than it ever did and that was reach the Finals in 2006 however your services are no longer needed and your expiring contracts will be very valuable to this team in the summer

*J-Ho be on the look out as well bc your expiring contract may have you out of Dallas

*JET you might not be on the runway anymore at the AAC

Shawne Williams and Antoine Wright, be on the lookout too! May be thrown in as fillers!

true, the best move the mavs front office made this season was picking up Shawne Williams option therefore he can be included in a deal as an exipiring contract

Stack & Damp for Shaq, Josh for Gerald Wallace, JET & Caroll & George for Carter.

I like JET this season for what he's done but realistically, at 33 he's not going to replicate that type of season and the past two postseasons have shown how easily he can be limited.

That said, if they can net an impact player with giving up JT, why the hell not.

The two for-sures are Erika and Stack.
And moving JHo, he has shown heart but he is too erratic to be a second option and has low bball IQ.

JET can play on this team but you need a legit shooting guard...he cannot be your best option at the 2

Stack & Damp for Shaq, Josh for Gerald Wallace, JET & Caroll & George for Carter.

Nets want nothing to do with the long-term years of JET and Carroll, plus George is a FA

They only have him for one more year, the last year of his contract is not guaranteed

I'm not an expert on JET, but isn't he the definition of a great shooting guard? (god that hurt to compliment JET)

Too bad Kidd might be going to the Lakers or Cleveland next year.

Pop is creaming in his pants at the thought of JET leaving the Mavs.

He is too undersized to be on the floor significant minutes bc of his inability to guard anyone not named Bruce Bowen. He would be a great 4th scoring option that comes off the bench but he is almost 33 yrs old so his quickness is fading

What I'd like to know is WTF happened to JET in the Playoffs? That sure wasn't the JET I'm used to watching...he was downright turrible, just turrible.

I'm just not that excited about Kidd anymore. He's skilled, but his age is really showing, denver ran him out of the building. Whoever he's guarding on D, just start running to the other end of the court for a laying when the shot goes up.

sounds like a spot on description of Steve Nash too.

Can't disagree much there even though he's a couple years younger and IMO pressures defenses more than Kidd. (also always seems to get to the other end to try to draw a charge, maybe he just stays on one end of the court)

Kidd is fine. In fact I don't even consider him a defensive liability except against quick guards. How can he be when the Mavs are better defensively when he's on the court?

Mavs with + defensive rating this year: Kidd, Dampier, Howard
Mavs with - defensive rating this year: Dirk, Wright, Terry, Barea, Bass
