When the Mavs beat the Spurs in '06, I'm sure most fans would say the Spurs got to the second round, not "the Spurs took Dallas to 7 games in the second." The fact is, only one team has made it further than any other in the West at this point -- the Nugs. One extra win doesn't equal the next level.

You did not say anything about rounds or advancing. Hell, you didn't even say anything about playoffs.

You clearly said "I for one, will put my money where my mouth is, and bet that the Mavs go at least as far if not further this year than the Rockets."

By definition, the Mavs have not gone as far as the Rockets. I'm not what part of that you don't understand.
