I havn't played Bioshock for a long time and I decided to pick it up again and try to beat it on hard.

One of the achievements is to beat the game on hard without using Vita Chambers. I've heard that this achievement is extremely glitchy and havn't found a definitive explanation.

Some say that if you die and use a VC then reload a save from before you died, the achievement corrupts due to the VC use... even though you're using a save from before.

Anybody have this?

I'm about 25% done and I don't wanna go through another 10 or so hours of gaming and be screwed.

bleh... just read this...

- Deleted the DLC
- Cleared the harddisks cache
- Rebooted the 360
- Used an old silver account with US address data to:
- Download the DLC
- Started game and downloaded title update (=> game restart)
- Started new game (hard):
=> Welcome screen for new tonics, "Disable Vita Chambers" option.
- Logged in with my usual (gold) account
- Started new game (hard):
=> Welcome screen for new tonics, "Disable Vita Chambers" option.
- Loaded save game (hard):
=> Welcome screen for new tonics, "Disable Vita Chambers" option.
=> Earned barss balls achievement

what a pain in the ass.
