It's gonna be interesting to see the Lakers without Radman against healthier teams.

Remember, he was good during last year's playoffs (especially vs the Spurs, he lit up Manu with ease in game 1).

So Rad was going to be the missing piece on a championship team?

Brown is playing better than Vlad ever has for the Lakers.

This is probably the dumbest thread ever created. Not surprising though.

i think that his ability to create more space on that offense, is missed more than some laker fans realize. i dont think he is the missing piece, as i think the missing piece is mental. but i think his presence is missed though.

Space cadidt gives up twice as much pts as he score..we'd rather have defensive minded guard in Shannon Brown here

Rad did a good job of containing Melo last year in the playoffs. Gotta question for the Lakers fans, since LA traded him, who's gonna guard Melo now?

Ariza

Ariza
Ariza really struggles against Melo, dudes averaging like 4 pts on 35% shooting. Also, do you expect him to stay on Melo throughout the game or rather throughout the series? Because I'm looking at their production vs head-2-head and seems like he has not averaged no more than 16 minutes a game against Melo.

No worries on Melo, the Lakers can guard him with Ariza/Luke/Lamar/Kobe.

Melo averaged 30 points on 49% shooting on the last round. He's either going to suffer FG% drop or a production drop going against these Laker defenders.

I would guess his points will drop to the low 20;s or his shooting percent will drop to around 40%.

Melo was stopping himself last year. He is going to get his this series.

You don't read your own threads, I take it.

I don't really think of Vlad as some critical piece, but he did play well last year.

radmanovic was the lakers designated three point shooter. they already missed him in the second round when vujacic and fisher were throwing up bricks at the 3 pt line. lakers really don't have a reliable 3 pt shooter anymore. vujacic got paid and just sucks now and fisher is just streaky.

You really believe Radmonavic did anything to stop Melo?

Melo averaged 14 points on 32% shooting this season against the Lakers. That certainly wasn't because of Vlad. Ariza guards Melo as well as anyone in the league.

And you don't believe that Rad did anything to contain, *note the word I used, "contain" not "Stop",(2 diff things) because nobody can stop Melo in a series*, Melo last year in the Playoffs?
