Not saying he's a bust, but he is NOT #1 material IMHO. Whomever makes this mistake is going to regret it in a few years.

I don't know if any player in this year's draft is going to produce like a great #1 pick would.

Did you think about this thread before you made it? You contradicted it within a few minutes. Awesome job.

I think I'd gamble with Rubio if I had that #1 pick.

His potential is to be a top 5 PG in the league.

The Raiders shouldn't do that. At least let someone else get him so he won't be wasted. And let Thornton go somewhere else too so he doesn't rot.

Shit, the Clips already have Eric Gordon...I doubt they'd take a chance on Rubio.

Wouldn't be surprised if they did a trade.

The Clippers need to move down to Anaheim while they're at it. Wasting their time at the Staples Center.

Unbelieveable. I do feel sorry for Griffin. However, it may not be a given that he goes to the Clips especially knowing the history of their decisions.

Looking at Baron Davis, I read a rumor somewhere that they might trade him back to GS which would open the door up for them to either trade down or draft Rubio outright.

Of course, the other more viable option is that the Clips trade 2 out of 3 bigs (Zach, Camby, Kaman) and select the obvious choice of Griffin. Watch out... we will definitely be seeing some more Gasol-like trades coming up this summer.

if i were the clips i would try to package the first pick with one of their hefty contracts for another high pick + future round + expiring contract. or an established all star. griffin doesn't seem worth it.

I agree since that is probably the ONLY way they would be able to get rid of player like Randolph, but I don't see them being smart enough to make your suggested move.

They might. Some teams have already talked about "If we get the first pick" chances are the Clippers want to see what comes up in trade talks.

True. We all know Sterling is only driven by money so to trade out one of the two huge contracts in Randolph or Kaman would definitely be welcome over drafting Griffin.

Clip joint with the #1 overall pick? Blake Griffin's career is ruined before it ever starts.
