I once looked at the photo set-up at Staples centre. They have a multitude of wireless receivers mounted on both baskets. Those receive trigerring signals from the photographers' cameras and in turn trigger huge photo flashes mounted high up in the rafters. These receivers also provide the photographer with a feedback information so that they know that the flash is ready to fire. The flashes themselves are enclosed in a special diffusor so that it is almost impossible to tell from which direction the light came from and emit a very short but powerful flash. This of course is done not to bother the players and if you noticed the flashes barely register on TV.

It's a very elaborate and costly set-up..............and when you see pictures like this you know it's money well spent.

The real explanation of what happened on this photo:

This play actually came on a fastbreak after a long rebound to Parker. Tony Parker was racing down the right side and Marks ran the floor down the middle. TP fed Marks and he was fouled by Bob Sura trying to convert the layup.

It is an absolutely hilarious pic, though.

is there any way for Sean Marks and Linton Johnson III to contribute to the short-handed Spurs? e.g. LJIII concentrates on defense esp the taller 3 guys like R Lewis in the coming Seattle game, while Marks hits one or two long jumpers when Rasho occupies the low post? they must have listened very much about the Spurs O & D systems, but it's a matter of whether they can apply to the real situation. if no progress they will go back to the injury list quite soon. (also let's see if LJIII continues to be a good rebounder.)
