Headed down to my place outside of Gonzales for the turkey opener Saturday. Had birds yelping and gobbling all around as soon as the sun came up. Had one hen come in to 10 yards before moving off. As she moved off, the tom came hauling ass in hell bent on putting a thrashing on the tom decoy. When he made his move, I made mine and ventilated him at 20 yards with my bow. Was back in town by 11:00 and had a celebratory burger and Fat Tire at Hooters shortly thereafter.

Had turkey breast "fajitas" that evening...

This one wasn't so bad. In my book, quail are much worse. They smell like you've gone a couple of rounds with Mary Jane Rotten Crotch.

I kept the flat top after I got out until my hairlilne receded enough that I began to look like some hybrid Shaolin monk/Krishna follower with a bad case of mange.

Now I keep the dome shaved as smooth as a prom queen's thighs...
