WTF? Grant Hill was never on Lebron's calibur. And yes, I know he was an All-NBA 1st team guy for a year or 2.

This thread sucks. Grant Hill was about as undeserving of those injuries as he could be, nice guy who always plays hard. As cocky as Lebron is it would be horrible to see someone go through what Grant has gone through with the injuries and a mis-diagnosis that ruined his career.

Granted the 2009 Suns sucked, they still won 46 games and their best overall player was Grant Hill (argue that all you want but my guess is I watched more games than you did and it was clear he was their most complete best player). The fact that Grant Hill at 36 carried that group of lazy pussies to a winning record gives a small example of how great he would have been if he stayed healthy his entire career.

how old are you? did you see him play for the pistons? all the hype and shit, and he was a better rebounder and a better defender.

Grant Hill is coming home this Summer to piggyback Dirk, Bosh, and Iggy

Grant Hill WAS the Pistons when he played in Detroit, and it was a damn shame his career (like Griffey's) was shortened by injuries.

Everytime I see Grant Hill, I think of how great that guy could have been. He's talented, smart, hardworking, and he's also a great guy off the court. Too bad we weren't able to see him reach his full potential

but is it too late for lebron to be forgotten along with all the hype and comparisons to better players?

Grant Hill was not just forgotten because of his injuries, but because he never made his mark in the playoffs. He never won a playoff series. LeBron has already gone to the NBA Finals and won a league MVP. Yes it's too late for LeBron to become a forgotten great if something were to happen to him like a career changing injury.

Why would you even want this to happen?

We were cheated as basketball fans by Grant's injuries. The guy was a stud and the complete package: talent, work ethic, intelligence and character.

EDIT- And Jam is right. LeBron goes down as a great if his career ends tomorrow. He'd be basketball's version of Gale Sayers.

LBJ will be known as greater then MJ in about ten years time, I guarantee it.

Exactly, and he will win 8 or 9 championships of these ten years as a boy in blue.

LBJ can still become Grant Hill. He still has plenty of time to get injured!
