View Full Version : Whose stock rose the most this postseason?

If I had to pick, it would be someone from the Bulls or Celtics. Joakim Noah, Glen Davis, Rajon Rondo all stepped up their game. Derrick Rose broke out, and Ben Gordon will get paid.

Iguodala did pretty well, and Carmelo seems like he's getting the monkey off his back. Who are some others whose stock rose? Whose rose the most? I'd say Glen Davis but I'm a Celts homer, and he had the easiest path to climb... (easy to move up from nothing).

Glen Davis will get overpaid by someone as well as Chris Anderson...JR Smith will get paid by some idiot team

Ya, I agree glenn is going to get more than he's worth in addition to chris anderson. I think teams are smart enough to not go crazy over JR smith.

That Gortat guy suckered some team into overpaying for him.

Both people will probably resign with the Nuggets - especially Anderson. Doubtful any team will actually overpay this off season though, or at least by much.

Aaron Brooks

+1. He went from a guy in goofy bowtie to a poor man's Tony Parker in a matter of weeks.

Lots of guys had their stock go up this postseason...more than previous seasons...probably due to all the star injuries.

Agree with most you guys have posted, adding in Courtney Lee. This dude is a rookie?

I would have to agree that Brooks tops the list too. He went from a very poor mans Tony Parker to an middle/upper class Tony Parker. Gortat is earning himself a nice contract also and IMHO it will be well deserved.

Ben Gordon
Derrick Rose
Rajon Rondo (and to think he's making so little money right now compared to everyone else)
Glen Davis
Chris Andersen
Dwight Howard (His stock was high, now it's really really high)
and I can't believe no one said Scola, he played better than Gasol in their series

I forgot about Scola. Yup, probably AB & him were the best players on the YaoMac-less Rockets.

Wait, isn't J.R. Smith still signed with Denver for another two seasons?

All the obvious names were mentioned but I didn't see Michael Pietrus anywhere. He signed a long term deal this off-season but after the regular season he had he went from being an overpaid, injury prone free agent bust to a valuable part of Orlando's playoff run.

Gordon has promoted his stats in the postseason but I doubt his stock has risen a bit, the Bulls would have gone much further if they hadn't been killed by Gordon's no-brain lays and shots in the 7th game of that series.
