Lakers v. Spurs playoff history

Since 1982, the Lakers have faced the Spurs 11 times in the playoffs, winning eight times and holding an overall edge in games. The Lakers are 4-0 against the Spurs in the conference final, winning 16 of the 19 games played.

1982...Conference Final...Lakers ... 4-0

I wouldn't worry so much Jam. Lakeshow is used to winning titles, this will be another prize to the collection but nothing worthy of crazy shenanigans.

I'll be happy for Kobe so that he can shut the haters up once and for all and fans everywhere can begin to appreciate how great of a talent he really is. If anything, a title would be the ultimate vindication for him. I couldn't give two shits what these maggots here say about the Lakers.

That's just about every sport fan base.

How avid will the Spurs fan base be when Duncan is retired and the Spurs go through a few lottery years? Will there still be Spurs fans? Sure. Will it be the same as the last 10 years? Not even close. Success breeds fandom. It's no complicated formula.

I am glad to see LA education has provided basic math skills, while in San Antonio we have graduated to higher levels of thinking by using deductive reasoning.

I will explain. The point was not to look at the initial layer, lower level of basic thinking (the math). It was to illustrate that the argument the Spurs fans are using to compare themselves with the Lakers has to do with relevant history.

Tim Duncan is still playing, so is Kobe. So comparing their body of work is a natural thing amongst fans today. Comparing Duncan to a team that started winning titles in a different city in the 50's is not really applicable.

So although your education in LA has provided you the basic fundamental learning tools, they have failed in helping you obtain what we call "next level" thinking that separates us from apes and monkeys.
