Martha’s Vineyard officials busted Laurie David for wetlands violations. Again.
The holier-than-thou Global Warmingist uses environmental activism to keep herself relevant after splitting with her husband of 14 years. He produced “Seinfeld.”
This got her to hangout with Sheryl Crow on tour, and after a few weeks with Miss David, Miss Crow was telling people we should use one square of toilet paper per visit.
She is bicoastal and uses private jets to scorch a huge carbon footprint across the USA as she twitters from home to home.
She told the London Guardian (http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2006/nov/18/weekendmagazine.usnews): “Yes, I take a private plane on holiday a couple of times a year, and I feel horribly guilty about it. I probably shouldn’t do it. But the truth is, I’m not perfect. This is not about perfection. I don’t expect anybody else to be perfect either. That’s what hurts the environmental movement – holding people to a standard they cannot meet. That just pushes people away.”
Not practicing what you preach makes you a phony.
On her Web site, she peddles bracelets made with recycled leather (http://www.lauriedavid.com/). Well, isn’t all leather recycled from some animal?

Sam Bungey of the Vineyard Gazette reported (http://www.mvgazette.com/article.php?21124): “The property owned by Ms. David off North Road was the subject of a series of wetlands violations in 2005, when construction of a stone fire pit, barbecue grill area and wooden stage for a children’s theater with seating was begun in a wetland without a permit.
“The new infractions occurred during the construction of a tennis court. Workers installed a makeshift road with boards and stones and drove heavy machinery across the resources area making a path to the tennis court site. Attempts to reach Ms. David were unsuccessful but Bart Thorpe, who said he is the contractor on the job, took full responsibility for the violations yesterday (Thursday).”
I always found it fascinating that George Walker Bush had an eco-friendly home while Al Gore Jr. sucks up 20 times the electricity of a normal person.
They do not believe this crap. They have studied it for years and they realize that global warming is junk science. We’re safe. That’s why they violate their own rules.
The people in this forum who have bought into this environment religion called "global climate change" should be embarrassed and ashamed.
