And wrong when he's picked against the Lakers so they cancel each other out.

They won game 7 in Boston and game 1 in Cleveland.

I think if the Magic were going to win they would have to find a way to do it in 5 like the Pistons did in 2004... I can't imagine them winning a game 7 in LA with a bloodthirsty Kobe Bryant on the floor.

I think Lakers in 6 although Magic winning would not surprise me.

Each team has a few matchup advantages (mid range shooting for Lakers, Howard v Lakers bigs, etc etc etc) over the other but the Magic may miss Jameer in this series who had 2 big games v LA.

I thought I heard somewhere that he could be back for this series?

There was a interview with Jameer during tonight's game and he said he's looking to be back for the preseason, but he said that might even be a little bit too early.

Magic in 5 or 6. Dwight Howard will eat that front line for lunch. Gasoft is too soft and not athletic enough to defend him. Bynum is too foul prone for him. Odom not enough power. Who defends Hedo or Rashard Lewis? We know one will be most likely defended by Odom, but who defends the other one? Magic have some pretty good momentum going right now and seem to be coming together at the right time. They just took out the MVP of the league AFTER taking out the defending champs.

But don't always play like they're THAT much better. Pau and Kobe will be tough as always, and maybe even Ariza if he doesn't hesitate to shoot so often, but the others can fade away like nothing. I like Brown a lot though....like Courtney Lee, he's not scared of "the moment". You can just see that in certain players.

I can't believe I'm saying this. I believe Sir Charles is right. Magic have the front line and back court to give LA fits. Inside out. LA is softer than a baby's butt.

The Lakers are my pick but I'm not sleeping on the Magic at all. I think they have a real shot to win this series. Winning would not surprise me.

I always get a kick out of reading these prediction threads. Bottom line is nobody really knows much about these two teams. You can toss out the regular season games because both rosters are a bit different now and they only played 2 games against each other anyways.
