I've always wondered myself. He's an odd mixture. I bet his momma was one of those 80s white girls who had corn rows and talked really ghetto and dated only black dudes because it pissed her parents off. Then she got knocked up and was like, "Yeah, Delonte... that's a purty name..."

Tangent: I went to school with this girl who was mixed, white and Filipina. Her dad was this old Euro white guy was from Sweden. His name was Leroy Williams. No lie. No shit.

I'm not sure what his father is... he looks like a light skin black but I think I read somewhere he's mixed with Native American (and I read somewhere else his dad was Dominican). All his siblings are darker than him with dark hair. Delonte came out light-skinned with red hair. They call him Red in his family, that's why he has that "Redz" tattoo.
