Use firefox. =P

But seriously, just having a wireless signal might not be good enough. Can you surf with other browsers, get on AIM, etc?

I have iStat pro which shows all the internal temps of all of my components, and sometimes if I'm not getting any internet but I'm still connected full bars to my router, I'll find that my adapter is just overheating (something crazy like 72˚ C), so turn it off and leave it off for about 10 minutes.

other than that...I got nothin.

You could also just have a screwy router.
