Do we need a firewall for vista?
Does vista firewall do the same thing?
I have the free comodo firewall but it gets annoying when it ask me all this questions and slows down my internet?

Nothing at all. I just find it relatively unnecessary.

You can adjust the amount of messages Comodo spits out, but I dumped it anyway.
