Shaq to cleveland sounds interesting, that would probably be good enough to maybe get them a title. What would cleveland give up?

JJ Hickson, so that would be a HUGE steal from the Suns standpoint.

The Suns would win the next 7 championships if they got JJ Hickson and Goran Dragic on the same team. It's basically John Stockton and Karl Malone and mega-steroids.

Who is the Hickson guy everyone is excited about? What's his strengths? His name keeps popping up in Suns/Cleveland trade talk.

Alot of talk around here is that the Cavs will give them Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic. Ben Wallace will then get bought out and retire which would save the Suns money this year which is what they want. I guess they are having financial problems and need some relief right now.

in Cleveland....He will bring the inside presence and the star power that Lebron wants/needs to stay in Cleveland.

Thy aren't having financial problems Sarver is just making it look like that so he has an excuse for tearing the team apart and selling every draft pick for the next 5 years.

I doubt that. Shaq in Cleveland will only be 2009-2010 season. His contract is such that they can use him as a bridge to get to the 2010 offseason when the Cavs can offer a max deal. I think the Cavs will get Shaq or Chandler, as well as a big guard. There has also been talk of the Cavs having strong interest in Charlie Villeneuva and Rasheed Wallace to a lesser extent. There has been talks of Rasheed really wanting to come to Cleveland, even during this season.

I don't see Shaq being a long term solution to locking up Lebron. I believe that Lebron wants a semi star around him- like a Redd or Boozer type. Someone that isn't big enough to overshadow him, or to make it read "Lebron couldn't win without....." like Kobe and Shaq. The general feeling is Lebron wants to win, but he wants to be the guy like Jordan was. He doesn't want to be the guys the 2008 Celtics were. So the prime guy is Bosh in 2010 for the Cavs. If Lebron stays, then Bosh becomes an option because they have money for both and Shaq doesn't affect those plans

well they are over the salary cap before training camp even starts. I'd say those are financial problems for a team that has draft picks and didn't make the playoffs last year

Almost every team is over the salary cap.

explain how a team that was 6th in net revenue in 2008 is in financial trouble.
