Shaq wants ex-teammate Kobe's Lakers to win NBA title (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=afp-basketnbalakersoneal&prov=afp&type=lgns)

Shaquille O'Neal has set aside past rivalries and is hopeful that former teammate Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers can defeat Orlando in the National Basketball Association Finals.

O'Neal and Bryant won three NBA crowns together with the Lakers from 2000 through 2002 but a spat between them led "Shaq" to leave for the Miami Heat, with whom he won an NBA title in 2006 before leaving to join the Phoenix Suns.

Now Bryant is on the verge of claiming his first title without big man O'Neal as a teammate.

"That's right I am saying it today and today only - I want Kobe Bryant to get number four," O'Neal said in an internet posting on Wednesday to his Twitter account.

The best-of-seven championship series begins on Thursday at Los Angeles and matches two teams that O'Neal guided into the NBA Finals.

Orlando, with O'Neal at center, was swept by Houston in the 1995 NBA Finals and one year later, "Shaq" departed for a huge deal with the Lakers.

Part of me wants to believe that he's actually developing some maturity and putting this shit in the past, where it belongs. But I can't. I think all the love he's throwing the Lakers way is just a desperate attempt to make them willing to get him back so he can coat tail his way to one more ring.

Oh, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt Shaq's feelings or his rap career (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UziUhf1ukw) if Kobe doesn't win without him. :lol

I think Shaq will cut one of his wrists if Kobe wins.

Not really. The second Phil plays him less than 15 minutes we would never hear the end of his bitching. Lakers don't need his drama or his terrible pick and roll defense.

Nah, he'll do that when Kobe wins his 5th.

Or could it be that Shaq is trying to knock Howard because he calls himself "superman" and he does not want him to do what he never could in Orlando?

Shaq desperately wants ring #5. His best chance of getting that and keeping the lifestyle he wants is coming back to LA.

He knows Phil, the triangle, Kobe, and would be able to fit in like a glove most likely.

sons Kobe has to win one without Shaq ... Kobe is currently 0-1 in the finals.

Shaq wants to see SVG lose, at all cost. If the Cavs had of won, I think he would of just said, "Lebron will probably win it." Obviously, I think the best scenario, for Shaq, was for Cleveland, to beat the Magic and then win the championship.

Shaq hates everyone.

Shaq hates Stan Van Gundy.

Shaq hates Dwight Howard.

At this point, Shaq would rather see KoMe win it.
