they fucking better after getting robbed last year by the BCS. I still dont get how OU passed them up when UT beat them. This past year was the first year I didnt go to a game in I dont know how many years. I need to change my fav team back to UT but I have grown to like the Orange and Blue and seeing the little roadrunner turns me on.

Thanks for your help, Stretch. I know I'll probably get a ton of flack for being a fan of USC, but I did attend the school for my undergrad, so it isn't a fanship born because of the most recent of success under Pete Carroll. However, I do admit to being a PAC-10 supporter...
I, though, do enjoy college football on a level almost to my enjoyment of the NBA...

it's there for okie st if they can take care of business at home. They have basically the same home/away schedule Tech had last year.
of course, based on last year's mess, we can be certain that if there is another 3 way tie that okie st will be in the Cotton Bowl
Okie st will most likely lose to Georgia........who I'm surpised agreed to go there.

come on, Penn State is such a stale program that your own home state kids flee the state to come to Ohio State. Pryor, Dorian Bell, Corey Brown and Andrew Sweat were all top 25 Recruits that turned down their own state's university to come to Columbus. Penn State makes noise in the Ben Ten once every 7-8 years. They can't recruit consistently enough to compete year in and year out. This year is a Ohio State rebuilding year, in which they will still probably win the Big Ten. When Penn State rebuilds they are on the boarder of not making a bowl game. That is the difference between the two.

I dunno. I think it's actually beneficial to Tech to have it early. There won't be much game tape on Potts.
When teams have time to prepare for Tech's offense is when the Red Raiders struggle. That's one of the reasons why they suck in bowl games.

Penn St lost to Iowa....Iowa...and USC...2 years in a row in the national championship game and 2002 National Champs....should of, could of doesn't count. I wouldn't pick them either w/ there shitty non conf schedule. Big games? They beat Michigan every year...and don't give me this crap, Michigan sucks, this and that..it's a rivalry game and anything can happen. Ask UT losing to A&M 2 yrs in a row. When Penn St actually wins won this decade come by, but until then the Big 10 is all about THE OHIO ST!!!!!!!!!! Penn St wins 2 Big Ten Championships and now thinks they are something special. :rollin

Those sub .500 days are over for Penn State. And believe it or not the recruiting will be even better once Joe Pa leaves.
That's wishful thinking. Penn State's last top 15 recruiting class was 2006, and of the ones that followed, only 2007 was a ranked class at #24 out of 25 they ranked. Ohio State has had a top 10 class 6 out of the last 7 years under Tressel. That is the difference. Penn State doesn't draw top recruits. They will throw together a good class once every 7 or 8 years, and that class will be good for them but there is a huge drop off.

Theres has been a bunch of recruits that have said not knowing Paterno's future has influenced their decision. Including Brian Cushing. They already have five 4-star prospects lined up and a few others (4 and 5) who are stronlgly considering PSU.
Its only a matter of time before they return to the success they had in their independent days.
And about the weak schedule, I completely agree...its really embarrassing and its gonna hurt them. Oh well, heres to the Big 10 come bowl season....god knows we need to get some wins.

yeah I'm not going to pound my chest too hard about being the class of the Big Ten until we win a bowl game again. We came close last year, and started off strong in the BCS with a 4-0 record from 98-06, but have had some down years.
That said, Ohio State right now is the only team in the North that recruits with Texas, USC, Oklahoma,Alabama, LSU and Florida. They have the talent to win, they just can't seem to put it together. Maybe with the class of 2005 out of there, this new class can start winning again.
The difference in the Big Ten is Ohio State recruits with the big boys, while Penn State, Michigan State and others recruit with the middle of the road schools. Only Michigan has the capability to return to getting a steady incoming of top athletes.

UT played FAU (Sun Belt), Rice and @UTEP (C-USA), and Arkansas (SEC). OU played @Washington (Pac-10), Chattanooga (I-AA), TCU (MWC), and Cincy (Big East). Remember TCU was a legit top 15-20 team last year - they only lost to OU and undefeated Utah, and beat BYU and Boise.
