Kevin Garnett's recovery from right knee surgery apparently is going well. Garnett expressed optimism in a recent conversation with team owner Wyc Grousbeck, who spoke yesterday at a corporate sponsorship event at the Boston Harbor Hotel. "I talked to [Garnett] and he guaranteed the championship in 2010 and in 2011," Grousbeck said. "He was as fired up as he's ever been."

When he starts to talk like this the rest of the league and fans of all the other teams in the NBA will start to drink the KG haterade.

He didnt say it in public but in a private conversation with the team owner. The owner then fucked up and told everyone about it. Meh it is not a big deal either way. KG is just intense lol

+1 Please, KG...don't ruin it for us...the Celtics are the only Boston team I don't hate.

I really hope the Lakers meet the Celtics in the Finals next year.

If Duncan said that privately to his owner every Spurs fan would be fired and up and would be ecstatic that he was so fired up!!!!

KG is one of the strongest competitors in the game and we need the Celtics to balance out this quagmire of a "Finals".

So do most NBA fans :lol

Unless Boston strengthens their team it'll be tough for them though. They really shot themselves in the foot playing Pierce 38 MPG this year.

I guess the deal with Rondo is all his teammates hate playing with him. I guess it wasn't just me who thought he acted like a total arrogant douche when interviewed on Jim Rome.

:lmao BOS is one and done.

What a fucking dumbass loser KG is. He better hope those broken knees hold up for another season. The Cavs are going to face fuck them into oblivion if they meet in the playoffs.

Whats the problem? What is he supposed to say? BTW in 2010 and 2011 I will mis the playoffs due to injury and we will lose in the semis? Keep in mind if Boston had been 100 percent vs the Magic we might be talking aboit Celtics/Lakers again.

I think it's definitely possible. Garnett might not deliver 20 & 10 anymore, but he brings a lot to that Boston team.

I don't think the Magic are ready yet, and the Cavaliers just aren't good when they go against the best teams in the NBA.

Reportedly KG took a satisfying 'poop' last night.

He eventually thumped his chest in the mirror.

People are over reacting on this one. He didnt come out and say it in public, it was simply in private to the owner.

Besides, if he were healthy this year, then its most likely 2008 NBA Finals all over again.

Lakers want no part of the Celtics.

You guys act like he's crazy? You know and I know the Celtics would have thumped the Lakers once again if they were healthy.

We'd be talking about back-to-back titles for Boston.

I am not so sure about that. The Cavs match up VERY WELL with the Celts. I don't think we would have gotten past them. Even if we had, this is no where near the same Lakers team we saw last June. They don't lack that toughness anymore. This years Lakers team after getting kicked in the balls would retaliate and kick you back twice as hard.
