Easily.

Perhaps followed by Matt Damon. Hard to say these days as Statham is really the only guy I see who fits the old "action star" mold. For the most part, everyone else I could think of (including Damon) is an actor who happens to occasionally do action films.

Stallone and Arnold basically redefined the action genre in the mid 80's, they're both on the pedestal when it comes to rating action movie stars.

Arnold/Stallone (tied for 1st place)
2. Jackie Chan (that's right there's a number 2)
3. Charles Bronson (just because he was badass in the death wish movies, just that)
4. steven segal (jamacian mobsters, what more can you ask for)
5. jean claude van damme or chuck norris (wtf cares about 5)

Matt Damon

I actually enjoyd the first two Bourne movies. And I very rarely like action films.

Chrisitan Bale

I love most of his non Batman movies

Uma Thurman

I think that she's the most beautiful woman on earth. Of course, most will disagree.

Dudes that chase down other dudes and blast their faces up with bullets are action movie stars and both Eastwood and Bronson fit that criteria.

Statham's pretty good for action flicks these days. That's his calling card. People only hire Christian Bale to do action because of Batman. People only hire Damon because of the Bourne films. But if you need a guy to whoop some ass there's really no one better than Statham right now.

If you think that's bad, Stallone got his ass beat by Jack Lemmon in the Prisoner of Second Avenue.

I don't really know who I like best in action movies currently but I do know this...no matter what good movies Steven Segal has made in his career...he totally sucks now. He makes the crappiest movies I've ever seen now and he's too out of shape to be taken seriously as an action star.
