1. who would win in 7-game series?

2. who wins in a fight to the death?

i think both would be pretty even...this years team maybe has the edge on the basketball court; shaq/howard cancel out, grant would match gortat, Hardaway would give them problems but petrus would play him well. lewis and turkoglu would be a handful but dennis scott and brian shaw could match them for shooting 3's.

in the fight to the death category, id give the edge to the '95 magic; shaq and howard would once again cancel out, but grant would beat up gortat, and i think lewis/petrus could take out penny and nick anderson easily. also shaw and scott would lose to lee and alston

95' HANDS DOWN.

The only bad thing the magic had going for them was the 95 rockets who were the lowest seed team to win it all and had the toughest path to the Finals in NBA history.

4 straight 50+ win teams while not having HCA.

The 95' magic had Shaq And Hardaway. They would kick this team's ass even though they got swept.

Shaq would've found a way to score more than one basket. Actually he would've taken a fat shit on Bynum and Gasol.

yeah the '95 Rockets were the most underrated team ever imo, no team could have beat them that year. NOBODY. had the jordan bulls met them in the finals, even they would have lost.

If the MAGIC win game 2 and take this series

will we be so quick to pick the 95 Magic?

I am reserving judgement till after the Finals

Magic aren't winning Game 2...at this point, Magic are fighting to not get swept.

Ms. Cleo in the house

I'm just sayin' :lmao

To be fair, healthy Jameer Nelson would have made it much different.

Actualy they are just fighting not to go down 0-2. I guess no one told you but the Finals are best of seven.

It's become a best of 5.

Magic have no answer for Kobe and Lakers have 3 answers for Dwight.

Jameer Nelson's penetration could have opened up the middle for Dwight but now, the Lakers just send 2 seven footers to stand around him. Dwight ain't gonna have any 40 point games going up against 2 of the Bynum/Gasol/Odom tandem.

Probably 95. Shaq was much more dominant then that Howard is now. Penny was in his prime and they had some decent veterans as well.

95 hands down. shaq and penny? oh my jesus that is sick in itself. they could beat the jordan bulls but couldnt get it done against the rockets. i still remember those brooms waving around in the arena vividly. but yeah, shaq+penny > d12+turk+lewis+nelson

I'll take the 2009 Magic. Penny was way way overrated as we all found out. I think Hedo and Lewis are better than Penny ever was. That team was strictly about the big fellow. Howard has a chance to be better than him and he has more weapons around him then the 95 version of Shaq daddy.

I have to agree. Jameers penetration would been hell on Fisher. Creating all sorts of open shots on the perimeter.

It took them 6 games to beat a Bulls team that didnt have a Jordan in true game shape (remember his come back was in late March), the chemistry wasnt fully set, and they didnt have Rodman either. The next year showed that was evident when the Bulls swept them.

i guess jordan can do no wrong. what was the bulls/rockets record vs each other during that stretch where bulls/rockets won or what was the record when jordan was in and out? just curious.
