Fantasy Basketball is open already??
Neither 2 teams would do it. Stop posting already.
rumor is swirling that ray allen is on the trading block. his contract is too big for the spurs to take on though.

At best that would be a lateral move, and considering Manu has years of experience with us and Allen doesn't, it would be a step backward. I think Manu's better than Allen anyway.

No way. I'd much rather have Manu than Allen. While I'd prefer Manu stay a Spur, if the right trade came about I'd still be a Spurs fan, this isn't it though.

Ray Allen is good but hes a typical shooter, we already have a poor man's version in Mason/Finley. Manu (when healthy) is our second best slasher behind Tony. Why is everyone trying to trade Manu? :nope

When even ducks is saying we shouldn't trade Manu away, you know it's a bad idea.

weak comparison. Manu didn't play and Ray Allen sucked against the Magic.
point is, the difference between ray allen and ginobili is not as much as some people think. ray allen is actually better. you don't become an 8 time all star and average 26 points a game by relying on a good jump shot. allen gets into the lane just a well as any other shooting guard. his offensive skills are far more diverse than shooting a jump shot, as seen in last year's championship when he burned vujacic for the win. problem is allens' huge contract and his age. his drop off the cliff may be much closer than ginobili's.
Wouldn't be fair to Bruce - he would be forced to kick his own teammate's ass.

No thanks. Manu's heart is as big as an elephant's. Ray The Vajayjay's heart could fit into a thimble. Just reading this proposal and then thinking of all of his crying about Bowen over the years makes me want to puke at the thought of him in Black and Silver. He's also two years older than Manu, and has a LOT more NBA mileage on his odometer. Aren't we supposed to be trying to get younger?

he also dropped 48 - so big whoop - 51 aint much more and thats a single game - Manu still goes to the cup.

First Roger Mason for Tony Allen, now Manu for Ray Allen? I'm understanding a trend in your trade scenario IQ. So, taking that into account we can spare the board two more silly threads by addressing now the facts that we also need to trade Tim for Malik Allen and Tony for Allen Iverson, right? :jack

Gino isn't jacking up 50 shots a game to get those numbers either.

to be fair, ginobili never dropped 51 points in a playoff game. He's never had to do that, but if we were in a position where we needed him too, he could?...Ray Allen needed those 51 to keep his team in the playoffs for the time being....Plus we are the Spurs how often do you see us get greedy about points?...We play team basketball!!!....

No way, that is a dumb trade. Allen belongs in Boston, his style of play is perfect for that team. Manu is a special talent, I hope he makes a full recovery on his ankle.

No thank you... as a dumbass high school kid, I once yelled to Ray Allen from across the Riverwalk telling him how much I thought he sucked. As a grown adult now, I might not be such a shit head, but it would certainly take me a while to enjoy seeing this guy in silver and black. On paper this would look good, but I'm still not a fan of the man.
