I subscribe and d/l sports shows on my ipod. I think I was listening to Dan Patrick and they were talking about LeBron's pending FA status and where he would end up if he decided to leave Cleveland. One of the teams mentioned was the LA Clippers......:wow:wow I almost started laughing but when I thought about the talent they currently have, givie or take a few players, if they find the right GM/coach (not one in the same) and Donald Sterling's going 360 and deciding he wants to win a championship.......interesting!

He's already spent the first part of his career playing for Clippers East. Why would he want to go to Clippers West?

True.

Is the supporting talent comparable?

Clippers are cursed they are the sports version of the Cleveland in the West.

True.

Is the supporting talent comparable?

Not sure. But the history pre-LeBron and the management for the first two years of LeBron's career definitely was.

:lol C'mon now. Don't ever compare your franchise to the Clippers.

Well bringing the Clippers to one title might arguably = bringing the Bulls to 6 titles

Lebron might be interested......not really.

Why? I'd argue the Clippers have just as good if not better talent than LeBron's supporting cast, not to mention a #1 pick coming up.

Now that they have Griffin, the Clips are just one "Chauncey Billups" away from being a serious threat

Yeah, and so is Compton.

Compton isn't nearly as bad as rappers and movies make it out to be. Watts and East LA are a lot worse.

But this idea is stupid. He's not going anywhere.

True. But bringing a title to Cleveland would = winning a World Series with the Cubs.

I wouldn't mind the chance to catch LBJ play 41 times a season.

I dunno. If that Zack Randolf to the Cavs rumor I heard was true, he might be.

The history of the Cavaliers pre-LeBron is every bit as bad as the history of the Clippers.

LBJ going to the Clippers has just about as much chance as LBJ to the Memphis Grizzlies.

The NBA needs to keep LeBron in the East to keep the competition up.

You have LeBron, Dwight, KG, Paul Pierce and DWade in the East.

In the West you already have Kobe, DWill, CP3, Duncan, Yao, Parker, Roy, Dirk, Durant, Melo, Shaq

It might be close in terms of winning percentage but I think you underestimate how much of a joke the Clippers franchise is. I mean from top to bottom, year in year out they are a disaster in every aspect. Since '79 the clippers have only made the playoffs like 4 times. :lol At least the cavs made the ECF one year. If the Cavs ever even TRIED to win pre LeBron then they come out ahead.

Because it's the Clippers; and they'd find a way to screw up something of this magnitude.

Seriously, I think the Clipper have a lot of good, young talent. They probably need to shed some dead weight but if they get the right people in place in the FO, the right coach and no interference on any level from Sterling, they certainly can go from worst to first.

Lebron would never go to a second fiddle franchise.

I say

FALSE.

:)

Cleveland Cavs aren't nearly as storied a franchise as the Cubs... and yes, I'm taking into account the suckitude of the Browns and Indians as well.

Umm....not to be a dick about it but you don't go 360...you go (or rather do) a 180. :)

It is more likely Sterling would go 360 though... maybe think about it for a bit, then just complete the circle and end up on the same path. :lol

^^I think Sterling is fed up with being called "cheap" or "bumbling owner" by the media in L.A (and elsewhere). He sees Buss getting all the glory and he's fed up.

I think the guy really wants to win now and that's why Baron Davis got the contract and they traded for Randolph. Only problem is they got a shitty coach that's really good on TV but sucks in game situations.

He's been trying to win for the past three years but I think he's losing hope and will soon go back to his old cheap ways.

So a 360 does make sense. :)

LeBron, B-Diddy, Blake Griffin, Eric Gordon, Al Thornton. Shit...why not.
