Jay Z is probably the most influential rapper of all time. Maybe a close second to Tupac, but I'd still put Jay 1st.

Auto-tune is lame but Jay-Z isn't one to talk about being fake or riding fads. This is the same cat who came up rapping like the Fu-Schnickens and was ignored. He then bit a Nas type flow and became famous. If he would have stayed true to his Fu-Schnickens roots, nobody would have ever heard of him.

He's one of the most blatant style flip floppers in hip hop history. This is like the hip hop version of Shaq calling out Dwight Howard for missing free throws.

And can Jay-Z do any song without jacking Biggie's lyrics continuously?

:tu Nice take. He had a different approach to rhyming back in the days when he teamed with his mentor Jaz O....and trying to figure out who started that annoying style of whispering raps between he and Wayne is like trying to figure out which came first: The chicken or the egg." Pharoahe Monch for me really revolutionized the flow techniques of rhyming.

Jay Z is the most overrated rapper of all time. He is the equivalent of Friends in the TV industry.
