My first impression of Garcia was a young D. Fisher, only bigger, stronger and faster.

I always rooted for this guy but he just seemed snake-bit with those injuries. Hopefully, he's past all that and can have a McDyess-like rebirth/stretch of good health.(Different circumstances, I know, but in terms of snake-bitness; if that's a word:lol)

I'm not sure how he'd fit with the Spurs, though. With Hill being Tony's backup, another smallish 2-guard doesn't seem all that feasible.

I don't see much need for Alex Garcia at this point. I was all about taking a look at him a few years back when he was in camp (or was it summer league?). But now if we do take a 3rd PG it will probably just be a vet minimum guy that can fill spot minutes and insure against injury (a la Jacque Vaughn). We don't need anything more than that.

His team lost the final game today and he didn't play well.

He'll have to play a perfect Summer League to have a chance to go to the training camp. Unfortunately his best opportunity was 4 years ago

Does anyone know what happened to Alex Garcia? After all the talk about him playing SL with the Spurs, he's not there.

I love him...
He was great against Dominican Republic.
